J Swap gave money to Shane Jones, and then to NZ First after it got into power. Now the company is asking for protected land to be opened for quarrying.
This fast track to corruption bill, is more worrying than the budget…
Doesn’t matter because team-blue voters will keep voting team blue because otherwise they might have to change their mind… and that means they might have been wrong before: can’t have that.
Not all of them will, they’ve had no post election honeymoon and polling support has crashed to the point it’s 50/50 this govt would get back in.
A fair chunk of people appeared to have voted for them to address cost of living like they said they would, not the endless stream of corruption were seeing now.
Is there no other way we can stop them doing this? It seems like they are overturning NZ’s democratic process not just specific environmental decisions.
I’'d have thought it was against our constitutional documents or something.
I’m sure most National voters didn’t actually vote for Shane Jones to replace the RMA with his bank account number (pretty sure both main parties were involved in redrafting it). This is going to hurt everyone.

What conditional documents?
It’s a bit complicated, but Wikipedia covers it pretty decently.
