Sitting at work on a stunning day, dreaming about a new cave we found last weekend - just want to get back out there and explore

Nice! Are we talking small caves or large cave systems?
Pretty big (hopefully!) This was the access pitch for this particular cave - about 50m
Wow! Where in the country is this? And how do you go about “finding” a cave? Then you just… throw a rope around a tree and down you go?
Hahah, pretty much - need some specialised gear for the abseil / ascent, but yeah, it’s a rope down the hole (rigged to two trees in this case for safety) and go for it. Found this one with a combo of topo map and LIDAR data. It’s out the back of Charleston, West Coast. Walked about 500m of passage but need to get back and see if it keeps going.
It always amazes me what hobbies people have! What an amazing find! Do you find new caves often?
I’m only just getting back into it after 20 years away overseas - but we’ve been lucky to find two brand new systems in the past month. That’s pretty unusual, even in these parts!
