Welcome to today’s daily kōrero!

Anyone can make the thread, first in first served. If you are here on a day and there’s no daily thread, feel free to create it!

Anyway, it’s just a chance to talk about your day, what you have planned, what you have done, etc.

So, how’s it going?

I hope that becomes the norm - just stepping away when you’re not productive. Theres no benefit for anyone just sitting in front of a computer pretending to be productive.

I feel like flexible working hours are the biggest win-win change since I started working. The last 10-30 minutes of every day were never productive, but you just say around chatting to all the other non-productive people. When I got flexible hours, suddenly when you weren’t getting much done you just went home. And if you were in the zone, you’d stay until you had done what you were doing (and the people that were in their unproductive stage weren’t around to distract you because they went home early).

These days I work from home and so do 8ish hours of work over the day as it suits. It’s really a great setup.

Definitely. Being flexible has got me looking at the clock much less. As you say, when I’m on a roll, I no longer feel the need to stop because my times “up” for the day.
