Got it installed, and works after reading the Debian README : Installation Add the following to your .zshrc: source /usr/share/zsh-autosuggestions/zsh-autosuggestions.zsh then start a new terminal session. Tips To mimic fish’s auto-completion by pressing Ctrl+F bindkey '^F' autosuggest-accept
There IS a plugin for zsh that does exactly that and I’ve been using it without issue for a few months now!
