Venti is 24 oz now?! Venti is Italian for 20.
Don’t confuse actual Italian for the arbitrary definitions Starbucks assigned when they appropriated the terms to sell their overpriced burnt coffee.
Also most italians have no fucking idea how much one oz might be.
Tall stands for 12oz? Interesting. English “tall” sounds like the Norwegian and Swedish number 12, written “Tolv” (with silent “v”).
This is coincidence - the two are unrelated. “Tolv” is cognate with English “twelve”, and English “tall” is cognate with Swedish tal, Bokmål “tall”
