    No way that game has enough content or is complex enough to justify 135GB. What it is is unoptimized crap. And since storage keeps getting cheaper studios have no incentive to fix it.

    There’s 1TB SATA SSDs for $35 at my local best buy.

      I heard that they sometimes duplicate assets grouped by area, so the assets for an entire level can be loaded at once making it load faster, but I don’t know if this is still done and if it even makes sense with SSD’s.

        I think the reason is just absolute fuckloads of highres assets like textures, audio, lightmaps, shit like that. Blame the neverending race for better looking games.

      You think it’s just full of empty bits thay added in for fun to inflate it? Yeah sure, optimisation could be better and there’s no excuse foe not trying, but at the end of the day, if you have 130GB worth of assets, then there’s little you can do to shrink it. Those textures, audio files etc can only be compressed so far.
