Hi guys - I keep getting 500 Server Error. Is this because the server is getting overwhelmed? Too many new users?

I’m getting frequent errors too. Plus disappearing comments. I’d imagine it’s because of the increased traffic.

i was wondering about this. i see posts with like 6 or so comments, but I only see 2 get loaded.

it’s possible comments disappearing or not displaying may be a result of your language settings, which are an… admittedly intuitive part of lemmy right now. if you suspect this is the case/haven’t already checked: go to your settings, scroll down to Languages, and then make sure you have “Undetermined” checked.
Ohhhh. That fixed it, thanks. Definitely something that Lemmy can improve on because it’s rather confusing. I couldn’t even see one of my previous comments anymore because it threw an error. Now it works again after re-selecting
