Four top centrist Democrats on Friday sent a pitch to Acting Speaker Patrick McHenry: Let’s get the House working again.

In a letter to McHenry that was obtained by POLITICO, Democrats told him they support giving him “temporary, expanded authorities”… Democrats are proposing to let McHenry bring up any emergency aid for Ukraine or Israel, a short-term bill that extends government funding through Jan. 11, or general consideration of fiscal 2024 spending bills.

I was referring to the collective mindset of the Democratic Party.

AOC represents a marginalized wing of the party.

You can make the case that Democratic party as a whole is centrist and yes, that includes AOC. Almost every single democrats have social left-wing value (yes, I’m including economically right-wing democrats here) or what should we call it normal values. Economically using the global point of view, the Democratic party ranges from left-of-center to right-wing, and arguably they’re right-of-center. So, all of them can be argued to be centrist when placed in a global perspective. That being said, it’s clear what the article refers to, and that means economically right-wing democrats are making a deal.
