Pedestrian hit by train near Wellington, train services paused

Train services between Wellington and Petone have been replaced by buses while emergency services respond.

    We drove past this morning. Police and fire trucks and a screen, so didn’t look good. On the way back around 12 the train was still standing there.

    Weird spot as there aren’t footpaths nearby or so.

      I drove past it too, saw the screen put up, and thought “oh dear”.

      As you said, strange place for a pedestrian to be.
