I’m putting this in it’s own thread because it’s not so much a community request as a usage mismatch.

Sports fans love to discuss games, see links to coverage, or find out about transfers etc. People who do sports are often wanting to discuss their own experiences or find help and support.

This feels to me like two very different needs which, when bundled together, deter engagement.

What are your thoughts?

    Outdoor recreation would be good for archery I guess, yes.

    I wonder if Beehaw’s target audience just isn’t that into sports … my main reason for asking the question was that I went to post in sports and saw nothing but links to news items about professional American sports.

      I suspect that Beehaw currently is skewed, as with many online early adopter communities, to those more interested in technology and computers. I think this is more a function of the early audience, not the target audience - the target audience is anyone who wants to participate in a nice friendly online community. Personally, I’d be happy to see more content from people who do sports, whether archery or anything else.
