RedReader user here. hoping that they switch over to lemmy, but thats a fair bit of dev time (would be happy to donate if thats the path they take).
in any event, the fediverse is my new home and I am more than good with what I have seen so far.
yes, it looks like RedReader gets a stay of execution for now - thats good for the short term. the RR dev has indicated that the medium term path forward is to include Lemmy as an endpoint for RR. that is going to really interesting.

RedReader dev says that they were allowed to operate free because of the accessibity they provide.

On android I am using redreader too and liked the minimalistic approach very much.
exactly. it a beautifully simple and perfectly functional app. pretty much the only thing that made Reddit tolerable.
