what a disappointment. I really expected better from Jack.

If you are accusing someone of misinformation you better hope your argument is at least factually correct. Lets scrutinize them a bit since they claim we need more scrutiny in our media.

the discussion completely ignored the large percentage of those deaths that were reportedly caused by friendly fire by Israeli Defence Forces on their own people

Oh no first paragraph the brings up a baseless conspiracy. Im sure the rest of the article isnt riddled with the same bullshit.

the ambassador promoted factually incorrect allegations that have been debunked due to a lack of evidence, such as instances of decapitation and gang rape.

I can not find any evidence of this being debunked or untrue beyond pro Palestinian journalists saying “we asked Hamas and they said they didnt rape anyone” but I can find UN investigations that conclude this to be true and even suggest that it has happened to and is still happening to hostages. https://perma.cc/6QPV-3NKL

Dehumanising statements unchallenged… "he referred to fighters as beasts and said that the deaths of 13,000 children was a fair price if Israel achieved its goals

The death toll is a fair point to bring up and our host probably should have pushed back. However saying our host should have pushed back when he called Hamas terrorists beasts is a true mask off moment.

Dismissal of ICJ Ruling/Lack of questioning on war crimes/The two state solution

These would have been good topics for the host to push back on and the PYA make a point there.

    Lack of factual evidence

You cant call someone out for not citing sources in a verbal discussion and then write an article with 0 sources and wild claims. This article has to be an isreali psy op to make the Palestinian side look bad. I refuse to believe anyone could be involved enough to join the Palestinian Youths but not involved enough to do basic reasoning in their hit piece.

Oh no first paragraph the brings up a baseless conspiracy.

This is an assertion made without any evidence so we can safely disregard it.

I can not find any evidence of this being debunked or untrue beyond pro Palestinian journalists saying “we asked Hamas and they said they didnt rape anyone”

I am shocked that you couldn’t find it because it was published by Israeli journalists in Israeli papers. This just shows that you are not looking at all.

However saying our host should have pushed back when he called Hamas terrorists beasts is a true mask off moment.

He didn’t call Hamas terrorists. He called Palestinians terrorists. All Palestinians.

You cant call someone out for not citing sources in a verbal discussion and then write an article with 0 sources and wild claims.

Did you expect the article to have footnotes with citations or something? It’s an article FFS. The information is out there. You apparently can’t find it but others can and have.

This article has to be an isreali psy op to make the Palestinian side look bad.

On the contrary. It brings people like you crawling out from under whatever rocks you guys live in.

Yes I did expect the article to have at least some references to back up their claims especially since they are accusing other people of providing no evidence. The reason the article didn’t provide any sources is the same reason you didn’t because you don’t have any.

brings people like you crawling out from under a rock

So you post lies to draw out people who will point out those lies. Doesn’t that make your cause look stupid? Isn’t that what a psy op would do?

There is enough truth to make a compelling pro Palestinian argument why would you fight on points that are obviously untrue.

really? You couldn’t have googled “Israeli lies about oct 7”?

So you post lies to draw out people who will point out those lies.

You are the one that’s lying and acting as an apologist for genocide my dude.

Honestly all Jack had to do was ask really simple questions like “is it wrong to kill children” and “what should happen to people who kill children”. Simple questions like that is all it takes to make a genocide apologist duck and dive and weave trying to escape.

None of these sources support the claim that there were a large percentage of deaths from the IDF. Even if I take every case you linked as 100% true there is still not a large percentage of friendly fire deaths.

It makes no sense for the host to push back on the claim that Hamas murdered x amount of Isrealis and say um actually there were a few cases where amongst the chaos some friendly fire happened. You would only believe this to be a valid thing to push back on if you believed the conspiracy that a large number of deaths in oct 7 were from the idf.

He has likely already prepared a response to that since its the most common thing that is brought up. I think a better question would be to press him about the war goal of removing Hamas. Even in a perfect world where they remove Hamas (which they wont) they have caused so much damage to the Palestinian population and infrastructure there is no way any group less extreme than Hamas emerges to lead Palestinians. When Isreal pulls out of Gaza, Palestinians will return to their homes which are a pile of rubble and will be reminded every day about the war. I would like to hear him explain how this leads to more peace in the region. They could have pushed him about the peace deal that was in the works at the time and why Israel refused to sign if Hamas included a line about ending the war.

Straw man. Nobody said large percent were due to deaths from the IDF. The claim was that the numbers Israel published were lies.

It makes no sense for the host to push back on the claim that Hamas murdered x amount of Isrealis and say um actually there were a few cases where amongst the chaos some friendly fire happened

Why not? It shows that Israel was lying and guess what they have lied habitually during this war. Why shouldn’t their lies be pointed out?

He has likely already prepared a response to that since its the most common thing that is brought up.

We will never know since Jack was too cowardly to ask.

I think a better question would be to press him about the war goal of removing Hamas.

LOL. Everybody knows that’s never going to happen. Hamas is an ideology more than anything else. You think all the orphans Israel created will grow up loving Israel?

When Isreal pulls out of Gaza, Palestinians will return to their homes which are a pile of rubble and will be reminded every day about the war

What makes you think Israel will pull out of Gaza? What makes you think they won’t kill or at least ethnically cleanse millions of Palestinians from Gaza?

Since you refuse to believe anything negative about Israel without links here are a couple which you most definitely will not read or accept.

              https://www.reddit.com/r/politics/comments/1cmoocu/benjamin_netanyahu_is_americas_worst_ally/

Oh and in case you made it this far I’ll ask you the question.

Is it wrong to kill innocent people? Is it wrong to kill children? Is it wrong to kill infants in an ICU?

If it is wrong who is worse? Somebody who kills 30 children or somebody who kills 1000 children? What kind of punishment should the world unleash on the people who kill 30 children and what kind of a punishment should the world unleash on the people who killed 1000 children?
