I have a post I made to a group on lemmy.world that doesn’t seem to be federating.

Something like that. I have heard basically that but if you go look at a new community that no one has subscribed to then it still shows you posts so there must be more to it.

Yeah it’s not very clear what’s happening, and when people try to explain it I don’t think it lines up with what we see. These things will get easier over time as new features are added.
