The ferry had a noticeable dent and a small hole above the waterline, Wellington's harbourmaster said.

    Wellington Harbourmaster Grant Nalder said the ferry departed about 8.15 on Wednesday and hit the southern end of Glasgow wharf.

    The wharf extends some way away from land. They just messed up and clipped the end of the wharf that sticks out into the harbour as the were leaving.
