Welcome to the first ever lemmy.nz photo challenge! Also the first time I’ve tried anything like this so bear with me while I make it up as I go along. With any luck I’ll find some prompts that’ll fit everyone but definitely chip in if you have ideas or have run forum challenges before.
Rules? Rules! (but not many)
- It has to be a shot that you’ve taken yourself, I guess. There are posts all over the net sharing other peoples’ efforts but this is more about doing it yourself.
- No NSFW, since that tends to open all sorts of issues around content control and this is meant to be a bit of fun.
Okay, we’re starting off with a cliche this week, because I’m all for easing into things:

@[email protected] has posted the photo challenge to [email protected] but I know many of you won’t see it posted there so hence this cross-post.
It seems that the crosspost simply duplicates rather than links the threads. Does that mean we end up with two separate content and comment threads? If so, which is the preference for the photos themselves to be posted?
It does. I would say photos posted in either are entered, but probably try to keep them together if possible. Since there’s already an entry here, this one?
I’ve suggested just posting in !nz going forward. Things like this need to reach a wide audience to get participants, so I think this community is the best chance of that.
Here’s one I too a couple of weeks ago in response to a a colleague telling me the grass is always greener…
Wow, our grass doesn’t go that dry until January.
I really love that colour/colours. Seems to have come a bit early in the year though…
