i came here to mention Affinity Designer, but Photo is a great one.
It should be mentioned that Affinity Designer can be considered a combination between illustrator and photoshop.

thank you so much. I’ve been on german ever since monday haha
I use ProtonMail. Additionally, i have set up e-mail aliases with my domain - i get e-mail addresses like [email protected], or [email protected]. Its quite useful when i suddenly get sent a bunch of random spam e-mail.
I can then just block that e-mail from receving e-mail, its quite handy.
In my opinion, if you own a computer - a streamdeck is a great investment regardless.
I mostly use my computer for software development, and web development and i have to say that the streamdeck has been a lifesaver in those regards.
I do play games once in a while, including Euro Truck Simulator 2 on my other gaming rig and i wouldn’t be able to play it without a streamdeck. I have mapped most of the binds to keys, and use my streamdeck to press those keys. Its really handy.
Same goes for the other car simulator i play, i use the streamdeck on Live For Speed to send pre-defined text messages, as well as ignition, lights, TC etc.
Anyway, i tried to keep this comment short. Sorry.
One last thing: I have had it for around 3 years now and would not be able to replace it anytime soon.
I’m a bit too late to the party, but i will tell you about what i use.
I use a wireless IP camera from Reolink. You can use any camera really.
Then I purchased a license for Blue Iris, so i have that running on my computer downstairs.
Blue Iris is so under-rated. Its really good, there’s a setting for anything you can think of and quite advanced motion detectors.
Hell, it can even detect license plates!
Do you mind elaborating what tankies is? I’m on kbin as well.
its funny i see this now, after spending 3 hours debugging D:
thank you! I’ll give it a go tomorrow.
I’m not on beehaw, but kbin.
Though, i do play on my nintendo switch from time to time. The games are mad expensive so i keep most of my games on the desktop computer.
I use GitHub Desktop - offered by GitHub themself. Its a GUI application where you can fetch, push, pull etc. But mostly just basic github “commands”.
With a bit of basic VM knowledge, this operation can be done for free. I run VMs myself to run certain macros and some windows stuff. As i am primarily a linux user.
EDIT: BUt good point @firecat . I think a VM should do the trick.
but I keep getting logged out after a bit of inactivity and it makes me enter my credentials when I decide to comment.
You have to make sure to tick “Remember me” when you log in to your account.
when I click on links from the various posts, it doesn’t open a new tab
Ah yes. Sadly there is not an option for this, unless someone made an extension? I’m sure they will correct this in the future.
i have never seen that before! Thats amazing.
Oh, so it is supposed to work that way. Now thats interesting.
Sorry I’m relatively new to this multiverse thing (fediverse?)
@mintyytea As someone that’s relatively new to this platform. Would you happen to know what the next to the reply button means? Would it be the same as awards on reddit?
I’m not a plantologist, so i couldn’t help. But I’m sure there are some good resources on the internet to get you started?
I agree. While some users are able to leave the platform, most will stick around - but as you mentioned, they will definitely struggle financially.
i feel that, i have lerked on reddit for so many years. But i am ready to make a change, and do my best to make these platforms the new home of the internet.
first time was the time the titanic sank? hahha
One of my go-to’s are programming, i rarely play video games these days. I go for walks once in a while haha
As im writing this i have come to the realization that i am a boring person.
