Narwhal said they are going to continue and start going subscription only once Narwhal 2 is released. Apparently they worked out some kind of delay on billing.
Lover of cozy mysteries, historic homes, gardens, cats, dogs, smart homes, and American football. A little coffee doesn’t hurt either. Also on Mastodon @introvrt2themax

That was my understanding, also. I read that the first billing for devs would be sent on Aug 1, so developers who did not want to pay shut their apps down on June 30 so they wouldn’t have even one bill for API use. However, it also sounds like Reddit shut off the API early from what Christian Selig said so they continued their petty games.

I’m finishing up “Summer Reading” by Jenn McKinlay, about an out of work chef who visits family on Martha’s Vineyard to chaperone her 14 year old half brother while the parents are away for the summer. She is dyslexic and ends up falling for a local librarian. Very much a summer “beach read” type book and so far really entertaining. I love Jenn’s cozy mysteries and just started reading her stand-alone contemporaries. I love her characters and the humor she adds to all her books.
Next up is The 5 Years Before You Retire by Emily Guy Birken, a retirement planning book. Have to get my ducks in a row for retirement in a few years!
Will you be adding The Guardian?
In regards to cats specifically- do you remember how many cat subreddits there are? They had their own Wiki that tried to keep up with them all.
I know I saw some programs mentioned in various threads that will download your posts and comments into JSON and .csv files
Me, three! I have to agree that I’ve already commented, posted, and boosted stuff more in the past 2-3 days than I have in the last couple of months on Reddit.
I’m currently in a cozy mystery phase for reading, so anything by Jenn McKinlay and her aliases (Cupcake Bakery, Library Lovers, Hat Shop, Good Buy Girls, Decoupage) or Krista Davis (Diva series, Paws & Claws, Pen & Ink) are my go-tos.
Frankly, it’s horrifying. Hopefully the Assembly pumps the brakes on it.
Thankfully I didn’t have too many save posts, so I just copied and pasted my favorites into pages documents. If I ever win the lottery, I have the step-by-step guide provided by u/BlakeClass!
Who do you think has been pushing for the back doors? The intelligence community and law enforcement. They want EASY access to everything so they don’t have to take the effort to break encryption after getting a warrant (if they even both with a warrant). You can bet your bottom dollar they are exempt from this law for “public safety.”
