  • How do you like this dress/these pants/this whatever” would be someone giving an opportunity to compliment them.

I am 42 years old, married for 15 years, together with my wife for >23 years. And this is the first time I realize that she doesn’t really mean the clothing but is fishing for a compliment. It never occurred to me, and it seriously is blowing my mind.

Edit: rotfl, all the occasions she asked me this kind of question suddenly make sense. Damn, I think I have to apologize.

  • Chihuahuas can have a not completely closed cranial bone (is this the right word?), which means if you pet them at the wrong place you literally can touch the brain and potentially kill them. My mood would be bad, too, if this was the case for my body.

Pugs also can have their eyes popping out if you handle them wrong (e.g. gripping them at their neck).

The head of King Charles Spaniels are to small, meaning their brain does not have enough room. This can lead to brain fluids getting stuck in the head, which increases pressure on the brain, leading to infathomable headaches, hallucinations, motor deficits, etc, pp.

Breeding some dog breeds should really be prohibited.

    This.

Additionally, the nazis built infrastructure (trains, KZs, …) just to kill Jews. They optimized it to maximize the amount of Jews to bring into KZs, they built the infamous gas showers and gas chambers to be able to kill more people more efficiently.

    They industrialized genocide.

While there were many cruel mass murders, this industrialization thing makes it unique so far.

    Greetings from a fellow German.

  • Ah, that‘s the angle you’re coming from.

In this regard you are right. I could’ve chosen AGPL and use it in my commercial project nonetheless. I wasn’t aware of that at the time, and that was a mistake.

That said, I don’t expect all users to notify me. But if a company like Apple, with millions of users, exposes me to even a fraction of its users - then yes. I expect a mail beforehand. I did not sign up for this.

But I agree with your last part again ;)

  • I did not want to make a business out of this library. I don’t want money for it.

All I would’ve wanted is that the people at Apple would’ve given me a heads up beforehand, so I would’ve been prepared for it and not caught on surprise. And a that they do a version upgrade when I release a new bugfix release.

This is not a license issue. I was well aware of the consequences when I chose the MIT license. This is not about money.
