Assuming you’re talking VFR?
You nailed it. The light weight allows it to float a bit more in the rough stuff.
Don’t get me wrong, love the Taco but the Hijet is a rockstar all its own.
That’s because it’s a Mazda in ford clothing
I have a Daihatsu Hijet on my property. Pretty much use it like a quad. Spray paint camo job, 4x4, dump bed, w/ rear locker. Pretty awesome at pulling shit, getting thru muddy spots, etc.
I’ll say this - that little Hijet is a much, much more capable little rig than my 2014 Taco, let alone the stupid bro-dozer in the picture. I’ll probably bring it with me elk hunting next year so I can load up the bed with elk quarters and crawl out of the bush
You make a good point about people who are informed or educated enough to actually recognize that. Ignoring the future vs present worth of money aspect.
There are a shit ton of folks out there who don’t know what inflation actually is. I’d say they probably fall into the doom spending category.
The rest of the world has left their obsolete ideologies behind and they hate the world for it.
You can buy a lot of gas for the premium you’d pay but buying a brand new car.
Every time I run the numbers to buy a new car vs keeping my 2014 Taco, the Taco wins, even with its abysmal gas mileage.
I’m going to venture to guess that many folks will go the route of Cubans and continuously rebuild their old cars.
A shiv in the form of a sharpened toothbrush
Why do people still buy Teslas? Serious question
Edit - great responses everyone. It was a genuine question & I appreciate the candor
Piecemeal
Listen when adults speak to you
Agree completely. Good comment
Unfortunately dude still has rights, regardless of how many times he breaks the law, or makes a mockery of it.
Can you get a PE license in software engineering? Serious question
Edit: PE = professional engineer.
In most parts of the United States the title “engineer” or “professional engineer” is a title with legal requirements & responsibilities in the same way calling yourself a medical doctor or lawyer would be. Folks with the credentials to be a professional engineer are tested & licensed by the state to practice engineering, similar to the way the bar or medical board would vet lawyers & doctors.
The dude certifying the structural plans for the bridge you drive over every day is in this category. Same with other categories of critical engineering from the fields of chemical, electrical, mechanical, civil, environmental, etc.
That said, TIL software “engineers” aren’t part of this group. Maybe they should be
Wait till they find out they’re barely qualified to do plumbing design. Kids with MS get to run calcs for pressurized systems
This. Some people need a book and a bunch of sanctimonious hypocrites to tell them to be a good person.
