  • I can’t answer them all but I’ll try the ones I can as a solo/small instance

    1. I don’t know about suggested, but I’m someone who likes to tinker and look behind the scenes a little so that’s why I made my own instance, plus being in control of everything. Also having my name @va11halla.bar is pretty cool

    2. The account is gone, no migration. Part of why I made my own instance is because my old was deleted. Due to federation you can still find content you posted at least, assuming it was federated beforehand

    3. You’ll have to federate everything yourself if its your own instance. The all tab takes into account the subscriptions of everyone on the instance, so you’ll see a lot less if you have a lot less users on your instance. The local tab takes in to account communities on that instance only.

  • Dungeon Maker is a fun little roguelike/strategy game I’ve been playing atm https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.GameCoaster.DungeonMaker&hl=en&gl=US You hire and level monsters whilst building a sorta dungeon with traps for heroes.

Since you mentioned Minecraft and farming simulator, both Terraria and Stardew Valley are on android, though I can’t speak for their quality or playability.

Emulators are a pretty good shout, PPSSPP was pretty great when I last used it which was a few years ago now, so I imagine possibly better now and the PSP had a decent selection of games.

You could also try Google Play Pass for a month and look at a few paid games and see if anything tickles your fancy there, but subscription service.

RIF was my first and only reddit app since I got an android phone in 2015. I used to use a Nokia Lumia so I had a different app before the, can’t remember the name, something with bacon in the name.

But 8 years of using reddit on my phone almost exclusively through reddit is fun. Every phone I’ve had it’s occupied the same space, right next to my Firefox. Maybe I’ll replace it with a Lemmy app or maybe I’ll just keep it there as a memory. I’m still not sure what I’ll do about reddit in general. I’ve been pretty good at keeping away, but occasionally I’ll find myself going back to it out of a deep habit. Maybe RIF not working will break that finally.
