8·8 months agoYes! It was always so convenient to be able to filter to e. g. text-only-posts when I was driving via bus or train and was low on data or had poor signal. Hope this will be implemented in Boost for Lemmy too!

Totally agree! I was so happy when I saw the navigation arrows for the comments but I also saw that holding the up-arrow to get back to the original post would greatly improve the experience (that was my standard form of navigation in Boost as well).
Edit: I guess long pressing the up-arrow was like the “Home-key” and down-arrow like the “End-key” on a Keyboard

Oh boy, I got good news for you. That is a great feature that I am also looking forward to and I already saw it in the github pull requests! The preview looks really good (better than e.g. the current implementation in Boost for Reddit which is way too small and disappears after some time). Not sure if it is in the next version but it should hopefully be added soon!
Haha, I thought it was a joke about you eating some plastic decor fruits. Man was I flabbergasted when I saw that it is a real fruit! Fascinating!
5·1 year agoThank you for starting the discussion. I was previously using Boost and now checked out Jerboa. Since Jerboa was inspired by Boost the transition was actually quite easy. Although some functions I really liked, e.g. jumping/navigating through the main comments or adjusting the font size of comments (they appear a tad too big in this app) are still missing. I would really appreciate if this community grows and the 3rd-Party devs could improve the experience further. I also was getting a bit bored by reddit as there was a lot of repetition and decreasing quality in content (while the popularity was increasing). But browsing through Lemmy and watching the enthusiastic mood of the growing community feels exciting again!
