Was a time when these lyrics would have been the top comment to this question. Now they linger at the bottom.
We who know must be getting fewer.

I’ll certainly keep an eye out for them. Thanks.
Golden delicious apples. I don’t even consider others, although tbf, their taste does vary a little, depending on where I bought them.
In Cockney rhyming slang, the second half of the rhyme is mostly left off. In this case, the second half is left off and the first half is shortened.
Berkley Hunt = Cunt
dumm wie ein Meter Feldweg.

If their arms are so weak as to be unable to overpower the lane-assist nudge, I really hope for everyone’s sake, that they are not behind the wheel of a moving vehicle. The ‘nudge’ isn’t strong in any sense of the word. You can overpower it with two fingers if squeezed tight. My semi truck had lane and steer assist, which nudged a little harder to steer the truck back into the lane, but that, too, could be overcome with a tight two-fingers grip.
LocalSend is the dogs bollocks!
Stop that right now! We can’t have that starting up again!
If I understand the article correctly, this is about plants extinct in the area of Vermont only.
Thank you for being so polite.
The question I answered was ‘why we have to register to vote’. We have to register to vote, because there is no law requiring you to register where you live - as opposed to Germany where they have ‘Meldepflicht’, which means you must register with the local authorities when you move. If there was something similar in the UK, then there would be no requirement to register, the necessary documents to vote would be sent automatically.
In Germany you have ‘meldepflicht’, but there is no law requiring you to register in the UK.

In the British army, getting sent to the quartermasters stores for a long weight (wait).
Your cat and me both.
I can go on for a while…
Yeah, you could, but you’re gonna need some of these: ,
Long haul trucking batteries will likely be at cost parity with diesel trucks this year.
We have 2 electric Volvo FHs with everything else speced exactly like my diesel powered Volvo FH 500 turbo compound (gearbox, final drive, tyres, cab/cab equipment). With my 1265 litre tanks, I go about 4000 kilometres - load dependant - against their max 300 kilometre range - also load dependant. It takes me 15 minutes at a fast pump to fill the tanks. It takes the EVs 30 minutes to get to 80% on a fast-charger. They cost more than double my ICE to purchase. The price has a long way to fall, ignoring the range completely. Battery powered trucks are only good for the ‘last mile’ deliveries, everything else needs to be hydrogen powered.
In about 1968, my dad drove round the roundabout in front of Buckingham Palace so us kids could get a better gander at the palace.
We got pulled over by a Bobby on the third circuit, and I kid you not, his first question was ‘What’s going on here, then?’ We were told if we wanted a better look, we would have to park the car and walk - like everyone else. The answer to the question is 3.
