I’ve watched every one of those shows, except the Blacklist, and would agree that they are my favorite shows.

For discussion threads I think it makes sense and that’s what I really want to see grow. When we only had films it was easier since you had only a few new films per week, and even less if you focused only on the blockbusters/comic book movies.
Now with TV shows you’ve got a new episode every week.
If you look at Reddit communities you had great discussion and memes week to week, and it only worked with folks hyper focused on the TV show.
Ideally I’d have separate communities for each show, but that would be spread super thin.

I did a little digging and it looks like the certification process is actually handled by the President of the Senate, not the Vice President. It just so happens that the President of the Senate is also the Vice President. However the President pro tempore acts as the President of the Senate if the Vice President is unavailable.
So if we had no Vice President, we would still have a President of the Senate, so things would continue as normal.
That means SOMEONE was the first president to have a mustache.

Electoral politics, especially at the Presidential level, are not where the majority of my hopes go. My hopes are more directed at local politics, Federal Representatives, State Representatives & City/Town Representatives.
That being said a Trump presidency is still a disaster and a Harris presidency comes with a lot of wins. So picking the right person (and their policies) is still important.
It’s only a line of succession if the top spot is gone.
If Biden is gone then Harris becomes president, but the VP spot remains open.
If Harris is gone then the VP spot remains open.
A new VP is then filled by someone nominated by the President and approved by the Senate. (It’s possible things could freeze here, but not by Johnson.)
AFAIK there is nothing that would make Johnson the acting VP.
Only if Biden & Harris die in a short window, moving him to President, would he be a problem.

I’ve never watched The Apprentice. Not because I’m “too cool” for it or anything. I remember watching the first season of two of Survivor. It was a fun enough show, but eventually I just got bored of it. I know I’m somewhat in the minority as reality TV really took off. Tons of reality TV exists today for a wide variety of shows and there are tons of success.
However I look at many of the folks (older adults) who are Trump supporters now and I’m confident they got their start watching him on The Apprentice.
Trump has spent his entire life trying to get into “the club”. The specific “club” he was trying to get into was the Hollywood one for many years. The Apprentice got him close, but the “reality TV” club isn’t quite the same as the “Hollywood club”. Luckily, for Trump, it was enough to get him into the political club. I’m still not quite sure how, but it was. How it got him into the presidential club is even further baffling, but he did that too. Don’t get me wrong, I understand how he got elected. But I don’t understand how he survived the primaries. (I mean I do, but I’m just sad about it.)
But Trump, assuming he loses the upcoming election, is on his way out.
You’re probably right that he’ll never be in jail. He’ll never serve a day in prison. But he’ll be in court. He’ll be in court until the day he dies. It’s not perfect. It’s not what he deserves. But it’s what’ll happen, and I’ll take that.
I agree completely. At a certain point you get a certain understanding of how this all works. I’m not happy about it and I’d like to change it (and when we have real primaries I’ve tried), but that’s where it’s at.
When you’re young and have only seen Trump v Democrat it’s a weird choice. I don’t say that to downplay how bad Trump is, but I do want to highlight that it’s a long term battle.

As she mentions in this video this is her third presidential election. She has never voted in an election where Donald Trump wasn’t the Republican nominee.
Think about that for a minute. Seriously. Imagine only viewing Republicans as the party of Trump. How fucked up is that? Hillary v Trump. Biden v Trump. Harris v Trump.
Remember voting for Hope in '08? I don’t care what you think about Obama now. Remember '08 Obama? You voted against McCain. Do you know how much I wish I could vote FOR McCain now? How much I wish I could vote FOR Romney now? We live in a fucking twilight zone now. I’m thrilled to vote for Harris and Biden before her. Biden for the last four years has been fucking bliss. Harris for the next four years is a god send.
But Biden isn’t above criticism. Harris isn’t above criticism. They are when compared to the orange blob but you can’t live in that fucking world.
It’s fucked up when you look at the world we’re in now. Some random gen z musician says I can’t endorse Harris? I get it. I’ve been there. She sure as shit isn’t endorsing Trump but to look at Harris and go “Fuck Yeah!”… that just isn’t happening.
Trump had pulled us SOOOOOO FARRRR off course. He’s ruined an entire generation. An entire generation, gone, wasted to Trump. It’s fucking horrible.

Trump is heading towards a loss. Trump is likely to do some really stupid (and dangerous) things between losing and inauguration. Musk is likely to help facilitate.
He’s either going to do something really stupid and just get cut off or quickly backtrack and get weirdly quiet, followed by a “graceful” exit.
