To the surprise of literally no one. At this point I pretend he doesn’t exist. Makes the rest of the race more enjoyable. Really highlights the disparity in talent next to Perez.

After this year I’m done with pumpkins. Love them but holy hell squash bug invasion. Went on vacation and came back to a full blow infestation. It’s taken all the joy out of it. Hoping a hiatus will get rid of them.
Look great btw.
Probably has to do with the investments themselves. You may not be personally ‘picking’ the investments, however, most target funds include investments that have such investments. Source: wife works at a financial institution. Also I’m drinking so Google it ontop of it or something.
Edit* Also totally shouldn’t count.
Same exact thought. I took a panoramic photo on a gondola and nabbed another one on its way past me. Literally looks like this.
Excited to see these developments. We picked up an EV6 GT-Line recently and love it. Looking forward to what’s on the horizon.
Only thing I hope is that the charge network improves or that Hyundai/Kia partner with Tesla chargers so we don’t get left behind… which I recognize the barrier is the 800v DC is the holdback. Ironic, given it’s leaps ahead, once the architectures there. I also say this as a staunch anti-Musk.
Either way. Exciting times!
Yeah there is zero chance the poster is from the US or anything that isn’t a major city. Electric cars aren’t perfect but they are a hell of a lot better than an ICE.
Wait what? I know exactly zero men who walk around with a satchel. Only time I use a backpack is when I’m going to work or going to the airport or something. Otherwise it’s a wallet all the way. All my other guy friends are the same.
As someone who works in HR, odds are it’s c-suite calling the shots and shifts the blame. We’ve been trying to make our CEO understand why parental leave is important. Presented studies, numbers, the whole gamut but he thinks it’s a way for people to get out of work and too costly. Then turns around, and decides all the execs need to get concierge benefits, all because he had to cancel his derm appt last minute. Benefit is twice the cost that parental leave would be. Fuckers are so out of touch.
In the meantime I’ve been using Memmy for Lemmy. It’s pretty good especially given how new it is. I came over from Apollo as a reference point. Definitely vastly improved my experience and made me miss Reddit way less
Edit** also using Mlem which is still in text flight. Figured I’d see where they both land.
I like the overall concept but it started to get way way way to squirrelly. Like some of the offshoot stories became detractors. Hell, there were seven large chapters devoted to the quidditch World Cup, as an example. At this rate we will never complete the series. I just wish there was more focus. I’ll revisit in a few years to check on the profess. But it’s a huge undertaking, and at times painful, slog. I’d still recommend if you have time to kill, but be warned.
Okay. 100% satire. That said it drives me absolutely bonkers when coworkers are walking around common areas with their AirPods (I’m in an office). We had someone at my job bitching that people treat him differently or don’t talk to him. Like dude… if you maybe took out your AirPods people might be more inclined to say hi.
Slight pet peeve, I also totally get doing it every so often, but wearing it 100% of the time it feels stand off-ish. Same thing with never turning on cameras for video calls. Totally get not having it on 100% of meetings. But there are a few people on my team or that I work with who NEVER have it on.
Also. We hired someone virtually the other day. They came into the office. Ends up they are taller than me so I had to let him go on the spot. What’s with all these people not respecting their elders? It’s called seniority for a reason. Entitled kids trying to make us look bad…. /s
In my experience over the last two years hotels are either same price OR less expensive due to AirBnBs bait and switch pricing. The taxes, cleaning fees, and random add ons are absurd.
In a recent example, staying at some Yurt for three days was $248. After taxes and fees it was around $515. Like wtf?!
I’m at the point where even if the pricing was flat, a hotel is 10X less hassle to deal with than AirBnB.
