Remember when they promised a modding API? I sure do.

I have been looking forward to this game. I love the trucks in space aesthetic, silly as it is, and I love space games where you can leave the cockpit like that. I played a demo during Next Fest and it seemed a bit janky, but maybe they fixed it or maybe it was just me not gelling with it at the time.
Redline is unironically one of my favorite movies. It’s just so silly, and I love it. “We’re losing the race, what do we do!?” “What if we pressed the pedal down…harder” And then they go faster.
I think just because in most other cases that’s how this is presented. That’s at least how the journalist here presented it “And I’m not under NDA. I have signed no contracts and made no verbal agreements; I haven’t even clicked through a EULA”. What you’re saying is why I agree with you here, that Valve was in the right to ban him.
That might be an issue for most other companies, but press events are not really Valves thing. Probably not much fear on his part there.
I think Valve banning him in this case is reasonable. It’s an invite only free to play game. That said, clicking ok on some random text box is not a binding contract. Companies like to frame it like it is, but it’s not.
I really really like this game, but is it ready for 1.0? Last I played a few months ago the simulation felt…lacking. The structure seems there, but things like NPCs walking around their apartments at all hours of the night make things difficult, as an example.
I actually agree, I own my computer / OS and I should be able to do what you’re saying (install and break things). But Microsoft is a trillion dollar multi national corporation and I am certainly going to give them grief about this because I owe them less than nothing, let alone any good will.
It does still work, and my gut says it’s going to work for a long time. Unless they majorly re-kajigger the way windows works in future versions
I don’t think it being hard is really the issue. Sony is a billion dollar multi-national corporation and they don’t get any benefit of the doubt whatsoever. Is it hard? Maybe it is, but maybe they should have thought of what they were going to do in the future when they were designing this. As was pointed out elsewhere, volunteers making an open source emulator are managing it so Sony not wanting to, or being unable to, isn’t an excuse.
Why is Pittsburgh the place to be for furries? I dunno, but I think it’s great!
I’m sorry, but I think I disagree. I interpreted your point as “Employers care, you just have to hold them accountable”. I don’t think that is the attitude of companies who want to do things the right way. If workers have more rights than they know, and employers are aware of it, then I do not think that’s an mistake, that’s exploitation.
DO most employers want to get this right? Based on the fact that wage theft is the largest form of theft even with everything else combined, I think that’s either a lie or a stupid thing to say.
Also, I just don’t understand under what circumstances anyone should be exempt from overtime. Is there some group of people who are less deserving of getting paid for their time that I am unaware of? Even (shudder) managers should probably get paid.
I used to like that game and was sad when I went back to play and found I couldn’t
Is this game still a mess? I really hope it gets fixed up at some point.
I believe this does not work for Home. You can bypass it in Pro like this though. Unless something has changed I am not aware of.
That’s awesome! I do really like Ice, but Ancestor is my favorite series too! I think I mostly liked it because of the “fan service” regarding going back to the convent, and all the stuff surrounding that. I am also a sucker for characters like Erris who need to figure out their humanity. I am very jealous of your signed copy :)
Reading them in order isn’t required. Some of the books are loosely connected to his other Cosmere stuff, but only one of them really leans into it (I won’t say which just in case)
Favorite was a tie between Tress and Yumi. I really liked the whole “Princess Bride” vibe from Tress, and Yumi was just cute and cheesy. Followed by Sunlit Man and then Frugal Wizard. I loved them all though! You?
I actually agree, that could be pretty fun. That said this puts a lot of work / pressure on the DM so it is definitely something to be discussed rather than used to be lazy. (To be clear, I am not reading this into what you said. Just saying it out loud is all)
