I’ve used one for decades for drip coffee here in the US. Grind it fresh, pre-rinse the filter, and it will be great. An electric kettle is fast, and smaller on the counter. It’s also easily stashed away compared to a machine. Easy to clean and more reliable too. I seem to have many friends who do this as well. Anecdotal I guess…or not really a valid assumption?
