Hey guys I don’t have time to write a whole newsletter today but I was basically going to say that celebrity worship works because the public image of a celebrity is an egregore created by the fans and audience and isn’t actually the human themselves, so they can be invoked as egregore things. I swear to the gods, I didn’t even have time to put on Burmese powder today.
So you’re saying you can pray to a celebrity you like and come into contact with the supernatural being that represents the celebrities public image they put forth, and from that entity glean benefits for your worship?
Yes. This works because their image is an energetic construct that you can copy and emulate since they are so detached from the actual person.
That’s the most insane unhinged shit I’ve ever heard in my life my guy.
Why is it unhinged? The image of a famous person is always very far off from the lived reality of that person and many of them don’t even leave the house due to being stormed by fans which makes their lives difficult. Those large rich people parties are full of people just standing around because they are scared of being accused of stuff or being caught in tabloid scandals. Others like Beyonce even say they are possessed while performing or working as well.
I think it sounds more insane to outsiders because occultism and Lavenderism have even deeper stuff than this. To me this sounds like everyday kind of ideas.
