I hope I’m not the only one experiencing it. I simply can’t login. I get to the login-promt, which looks a bit broken https://imgur.com/S9uROv6.png After entering my OTP, the site just closes and I’m still not logged in on canvas.toast.ooo. Any other attempt to login after that simply flashes a second tab briefly and then nothing. Unless I delete the cookies from oidc.toast.ooo.
Anyone got around that?
PS: I don’t really want to create a matrix account just to troubleshoot that.
Edit: I think I’ve found the problem: you need to access https://canvas.toast.ooo. Just going to canvas.toast.ooo redirected me to the http:// version, login does not work there.
If it’s your first time logging in, there should be a button popping up on the original canvas page that you need to press to register your account.
And where might that be? All I can see is “Sign in with…” Which shows a small window. Selecting “lemmy” does nothing after the first time of doing that.
it should popup in the center of the page after putting the code your received in DM. it’s fairly small and easy to miss, it’s not the best logging system…
Hey thank you, now it works.
I was on the http version of the page, because canvas.toast.ooo does not redirect to the https version. 🙃
Great!
That did it for me too! Was having the same problem
I put in my code, but it didn’t sign me in. Maybe because I waited a few minutes before I could find the message? Anyway, now when I click lemmy it just goes back to the canvas saying I’m not signed in.
Do you mean “Welcome back [email protected]” where you can click continue on oidc.toast.ooo?
Because after clicking continue, the page closes and I’m back in canvas.toast.ooo with the "Sign in with…"window sill open. There I have two options “lemmy”, which I clicked on the first time and doesn’t do anything the second time, and cancel, which does work.
But I’m still not logged in.
you might need to allow third party cookies on all pages for a brief period of time!
Thank you for the suggestion, sadly that didn’t work either
did you try clearing the cache and cookies too? (perhaps in a seperate browser)
