Let’s suppose I want to browse lemmy.ml or lemmy.world. This would be similar to viewing the website lemmy.ml through a browser where various communities are visible.

However, on a mobile app, I’m unsure of how to achieve this. I can only see specific communities, such as [email protected], for example. I wish to view lemmy.ml in its entirety.

When I select ‘All’, it displays all instances instead of specific ones.

Could anyone assist me with this? The apps I’m using include Jerboa, Connect, Sync, and Voyager.

Thank you in advance.

EDIT: Only Connect can do this as far as I know. I can GUEST login to different instances like lemm.ee and browse them.

Both Jerboa and Sync does not have this functionaly. I haven’t tried on Voyager yet, I only use it when I’m on browser.

Using Connect, it’s the top right menu “about instance”. From there you can click “view communities”

Also. Open the swipe menu to the left. The three dots next to each of your subscriptions has the same menu, so it’s maybe easier to go to different instances from there.

It’s usually called the “local” feed. It shows all communities in your own instance

It would only show that instance of the account I registered on. Does that mean I have to register another account for lemmy.ml? If I am currently lemmy.world?

Ah I understand what you’re asking now

Depending on the app you’re using, you may be able to simply add that instance and browse the local for that specific instance. I know liftoff can do this
