Hi, so with a Real Debrid subscription being used with Stremio/Torrentio, there’s a drop down menu called “Debrid Options” with the following choices:

  • Don’t show download to debrid links
  • Don’t show debrid catalog
  • Show P2P torrent links for uncached

The default option has none of those selected. Should you be using one of those 3 options or just stay with none of those at all? I have no idea what exactly those options do.

Also, I know I can use one Torrentio account on multiple devices in my home at the same time… can I also use one Stremio account on multiple devices at the same time or would I get a warning/get booted off of one device? Example, I’m using it on my firestick and a sibling is logged in my Stremio account on their firestick as well.

Don’t use any of those options if you are new to this, it’s not anything critical.

You can use the same streamio account on multiple devices, there will be no issue.

You can use the same Stremio account on multiple devices but Real Debrid will warn you and then ban you if you use them simultaneously with different public ip addresses.

Thank you very much. One more thing if it’s no trouble… the subtitles is a bit wonky sometimes. Do I just need to adjust the delay until I find the sweet spot or is there something else like an add-on that works without fine tuning with regards to the subtitles?

I can’t seem to fix the timing of the subtitles when it’s off, no matter how much I adjust it. It works ok and then goes out of sync shortly after again.

Most of the time there are multiple subtitles available in a single language, just keep trying different ones until you find the perfect one.

That’s what works for me, I personally never mess with the delay as it’s difficult to get it right.

I mostly get timing issues with subtitles if I’m using the embedded ones for some reason. Choose some on the pane at the left of the subtitles popup beneath the “embedded”. In my experience, the first one is usually perfect. But you can scroll through till you find one.

And pro tip: play around with different cached files – so instead of choosing (say) the first of the cached files in the results pane for an episode/movie, choose the next one down (as long as it’s the right quality for you, usually 1080p). If it’s a series, the next episode will automatically play from the releaser of that cached file if it’s in the list.

Yeah, def leave them alone for the most part.

The “show P2P links” option should only be used if you’ve set yourself up with a VPN, since that’s just straight streaming torrent files. I personally never use it, since it’s usually slow and laggy, and will look for the media on another source if necessary.

For the subtitles, there’s should def be other options to try in the same language, but sometimes for more obscure media you’ll have to adjust the timing on what subtitles are available.
