Okay dunno if this question is allowed so remove it if it is. I never got into twitter but I thought I should give mastodon a try but now I need suggestions on whom to follow.
I am posting it here because I think I somewhat align with the population of this community better.
You can follow hashtags so id suggest starting there, and see who’s posting stuff you find interesting. Or just keep following hashtags instead of people.
Not nearly enough people use hashtags, unfortunately. I wish more would get on board.

@k110111 The Fediverse is more than just Mastodon. Don’t be shy of trying out other social networks as well, as they have a pretty good compatibility with Mastodon.
I just wanted to get rid of Facebook. So, I don’t know what did I think about, but I chose Friendica. From here I managed to follow many of the pages that I was following there, over on Mastodon.
News pages have the biggest share in the accounts that I follow, but I also found other accounts, such as @godpod or @DarthPutinKGB
