Everyone said things like this in 2016 about Trump winning Presidency (I’m not talking about popular, I’m talking about electoral). There is zero reason for DeSantis to have dropped out so early. He just came in second in Iowa. While everyone said he lost coming in second with 21% was an incredibly strong showing. He dropped out for a reason this quickly.
It seems much more likely that he’s just trying to salvage what little he can from the wreckage of his political career, if he drops out and endorses Trump maybe he still has something but I don’t see any way Trump gives him any particular attention or favour

But Trump got like more than two times his votes. I don’t think you can contend with each party choosing one candidate.
