Wanted to share a resource I stumbled on that I can’t wait to try and integrate into my projects.
A GPT4All model is a 3GB - 8GB file that you can download and plug into the GPT4All open-source ecosystem software. Nomic AI supports and maintains this software ecosystem to enforce quality and security alongside spearheading the effort to allow any person or enterprise to easily train and deploy their own on-edge large language models.
Oh god thank you for this. I spent so much time last week trying to figure out what model to download, and how to download and install it. It was unnecessarily-complicated for a person who doesn’t use command line.
Is this just as good as the one accessible from the chatgpt website?
Nothing beats chat gpt and gpt4 currently, but meta just released llama v2 which is now the best open source base model. V2 is literally only a day old but im sure we will get something that rivals ChatGtp very soon as it gets fine tuned by the community
I think if you download the right models from the program, yeah.
Kbin needs a save function. This very off-topic comment is me “pressing save” on this post…
Does anyone have experience loading their own data into a given model? I can’t seem to find a straightforward tutorial.
