Yes. They Austin Powered themselves you know. I did manage to get to my appointment, just super late. And uh, I got a new doctor, which is great, cause I felt the previous one was rather dismissive of my concerns.
This new doctor does listen, but thinks I might have Bipolar instead of ADHD.
Ah, glad to know that your appointment was not affected. The traffic and parking around UMMC can be a nightmare as well.
Happy to hear that you have a chance with a new doctor! Hopefully your have a better experience with them! Mood disorders can be quite common to come with other conditions, so hopefully it’s not something serious - but I’m sure you will know to talk to the doctor if it is concerning. Monyet.cc works great on chrome mobile for me. Connect is also a great app for Lemmy. Not sure about iOS case though
For iOS Memmy seems to be the best app option for now, though more apps are coming!

I just joined Lemmy like yesterday due to trying to move away from reddit.
Today, I’ve been experimenting around with the fediverse trying to figure out the UI and all. But this weird hack thing that is happening on at least lemmy.world makes it all a bit confusing 🤔
For example, when I am signed in and check my feed in “new” I only see posts from 2 days ago, even though it seems like new content is still being posted.
Similarly this Cafe post from today has 0 comments even though yesterdays had like 50. Are there just not many people on Lemmy, or is this some weird issue I’m having?
I find that between yesterday and today, a sign out and signing back in solved most of the glitches I’m seeing (subscriptions not populated or appearing, post updates, latest posts, etc). I forsee doing this periodically for the forseable future of using Lemmy, regardless of home instance.
if it is any consolation, I beg to differ. it has been a crazy week for lemmy. first, version 0.18.1 came out which had massive improvements, two of them that could be the cause of needing to logout/clear cache are:
- fixing the cookie path (if you’ve ever encountered the logout button not working, this was the fix)
- changing the path of some
.jsfiles (this required everyone to refresh their browser so they could request them from the new path)
then a few days after 0.18.1 was released, lemmy had that xss security issue, and temporary measures had to be taken to secure our instance (sort of like a lockdown):
- the admins rotated the signing key for the json web tokens (which automatically logged everybody out, so you had to login again; lots of instances did this)
- federation was turned off (which would affect your subscriptions and posts from communities on other instances; I would say fewer instances did what we did to turn federation off completely, some merely blocked the instances that were affected by the hack)
federation only started working again properly about 2-3 hours ago. so that’s probably when your subscriptions and posts started getting through.
will we ever need to turn federation off again? probably, but hopefully not soon. anyway, now that the admins have done it once, they know what’s involved, so hopefully the next time this happens, federation will only be turned off for a short while instead of around one and a half days.
by the way, if you find any post or comment that didn’t properly federate over here, these instructions may help. (the short version is: just like you can search for communities from other instances, you can search for posts and comments (and users) too, you just need to search for their url.)

from what I see federation to monyet.cc is definitely broken, you may still “pull in” posts from other instances by searching for their url here, but nothing here is getting out.
when you say the cafe post has 0 comments, are you viewing it here or from some other instance?
from another instance you don’t see anything new from the 10 July. this thread doesn’t exist. and of 10th july, the number of comments are not the same on that day, 69 local vs 72 in the instance i am in, which means that there are comments that exist elsewhere that failed to federate here.
I default to that instance, so i would bring up [email protected] and blink stupidly for a few seconds (no update??) before remembering to open monyet.cc directly.
federation seems to be back online (probably the admins have restarted the lemmy server), so things should go back to normal from now on
