    Insurance companies will take that map and turn it into premium levels.

    And I can fully understand that. Their calculations are based on how often a house is blown away, swept in a flood, or burned to ashes. If the amount of damages keep rising like they did this year, in some areas houses will become un-insurable.

    In Colorado, we are not too worried except for large hail, that sucks. Usually 100 year storms mean snow and we like that.
