An international minimum wage should be established and imports made without meeting that wage should have substantial tariffs.

The garment industry there is fucked up. Workers are paid little to no wage to keep the exports dirt cheap. I’ve heard from my Bangladeshi friends that clothes are very expensive there. So much so, that for big events when you might wanna buy a lot of expensive clothes (like a wedding), it’s often cheaper to go to India and buy the clothes there. It’s the same clothes, manufactured in Bangladesh, but they sell for much cheaper in India.

Yeah, I’m trying to highlight how dirt cheap exports doesn’t necessarily mean dirt cheap products.

These guys get paid pennies, but shirts still cost dollars. Where does the rest go? Oh yeah.

          Profits are up.

12,000 workers marching down to the prime minister’s house could start a new conversation.

    Eat the rich.

Better than eating them, redistribute their wealth to those who need it and make the ruling class the working class.
