I cannot personally dedicate the time to moderation, but I do want to be active in this magazine.

However, we are in need of community guidelines and moderators because @ernest is already a very busy person (_greatly appreciate all your work!!_). There are already a few bad faith actors in this community space that are dominating the airwaves with bigotry and reporting them is fairly ineffective right now because there’s only one moderator who is actually the instance dev.

Would anyone in this community space like to take over moderation here? Basic requirement: positive reputation score. I think if we talk it out and then reach out to Ernest, he can promote two or three people to moderate.

    I don’t have experience moderating political subs, but I am online a lot and I can help. Especially for something simple like dealing with trolls and bad faith actors.

      I’ll post another comment later this evening, but I think the main objective is to just have a couple of people to keep an eye on things since Ernest is too busy being an awesome instance dev for us.

      This community is too small to require round-the-clock vigilance, and it’s not reasonable to expect mods to remove content immediately.

      I think if we just get 3 or 4 people who are willing to check the report logs once or twice a day, each, then we can at least establish a really rewarding community here.
