Whenever a lot of people google anything they end the search with “reddit” so they can get information on the subject from subreddits.

Now that reddit is doing everything to force us to use their shit app and killing the website on mobile we should have a way to import archives of reddit to lemmy so the knowledge base that was reddit is still openly available to people.

People on the datahoarder subreddit have archived subreddits and there’s already a tool to import subreddit to Lemmy automatically but it won’t work now that the api is dead https://github.com/rileynull/RedditLemmyImporter
