    zero stars, do not buy

I bought this, and the lithium-ion battery started bulging on day 1. My boyfriend touched it and said it was really hot. I don’t think these batteries are safe.

Also, Temu is a scam site.

for sites like temu i a few rules rule: only buy things that they cannot possibly fuck up the making of, or things you don’t mind arriving broken, and never get electronics, most of them will be fire hazards

thanks to those i’m very happy with my temu purchases, i have a neat sillicione thingy that goes around my kitchen tap so i don’t need to wipe water off the counter there, a metal rod that i can hang my spoons and spatchulas on, and a big mixing bowl with a plastic guard so my pancake batter stays in the bowl instead of decorating my walls. Oh and a set of calligraphy pens which is objectively poor quality but i like it either way

yeah i learnt about it recently :( it’s whack, i really liked being able to find some nice cheap trinkets. But yeah the trinkets are definitely not worth supporting slave labour (nothing is)

Yeah, the problem wasn’t that it’s cheap chinesium trash (which is the point of these sites), it’s the labor practices.

True, you need to understand things like no you won’t get a 4TB SSD for 25€, but they have lots and lots of mechanical and electronics that are totally OK IMO. I even have a couple of training shorts from there and basically everything except the hot-end for my homebrew 3D printer comes from there (or Alibaba before that). For example.

I get LOTS of bulk order microprocessors, LED strings, shit tons of random electronic crap for pennies compared to even Amazon. I don’t mind the wait.
