Hi,
Is it possible with Inkscape to squeeze a shape in a mirror way (sorry I don’t know how to phrase it better) \
Here a gif from a rasterize/pixel editor with what I’m looking for
The same question on the official inkscape forum
WTF the fuck happen to peoples ? Internet should not be a place where everyone could express, share what he want ?!
I’m glad their is Lemmy, so quick and easy
- Draw rectangle
- Path->Object to path
- F2 Node tool, select the 2 nodes with shift+click
- Enable show transformation handles on the toolbar
- Shift+drag the transformation handles
Made a video of it:
I switched to catbox from imgur because imgur is even more restrictive. What similar quick image sharing site should I use? I don’t use nor vpn, nor tor, because I live in a country where the state doesn’t care about what people do online.

Lucky YOU !!!, but it’s not meaning other country will not track you…

It’s a really good question ! Sadly a lot of website admin do not understand the harm to use solution like Cloudflare etc… see https://stallman.org/cloudflare.html for a short introduction
I think it would be wise to open a topic for that question only
And again thanks four your inkscape solution
I use DoH, so they can’t. Tor is overkill for a lot of things, and too slow for my taste.
If you can’t recommend something else i will stick with catbox, you were the first one who had a problem with that.
Are you owning the DoH endpoint ? if not, they can :)
If it’s a path, you can use a mirror
- click the object
- click path effects
- search for the mirror symmetry path effect
- click freely define mirror and drag the mirror line to where it makes sense
- click a node and drag it (the node on the opposite side of the mirror should also move like in your gif)
You will need two mirrors if you want horizontal and vertical “squeezing” (or symmetrical editing)
