In my little slice of hell summer means it’s low to mid 90’s everyday with 60%+ humidity and it rains every fucking afternoon. You can’t go outside for more than 5mins without sweating profusely. It’s kinda ass.
Like that here too. I hate feeling like I just stepped out of a shower any time I walk out my front door.
I live in similar conditions with dew points over 65° constantly and have to work in an open air factory.
Summer can go to hell… It’s already hot there so it will be fine.
“Rains every afternoon” Florida? I spent a year there and it was like clockwork lol
That doesn’t sound like kinda ass. That’s full-on ass.
Ours are usually like that but this year it’s been more in the mid-to-high 80’s which isnt fun but isnt murder either. LOTS of thunderstorms this year though. Flooding and trees going down every week
That’s my dream weather…. Fuck snow, fuck cold. High humidity temps and humidity ftw
First mf i’ve ever seen that ENJOYS high humidity, ong how
They’re prob one of those people who refuses to get a good coat. Classic Southerner behavior, tbh. We hardly ever have a true need for good winter clothes down here, so most people don’t know how to layer properly to stay warm, so they think people living in colder climates are just freezing all the time. Because of barely having any inclimate winter weather, too, we don’t invest in much infrastructure to keep our streets clear of ice/snow, so the roads are always terrible after snow storms. People generally won’t shovel their walkways, either (even people who usually carefully tend their yards in other seasons!)
This leads to most people having a skewed perception of winter around here lmao
Not exactly. I live in a region with 4 seasons, hot summers and cold winters, yet when I go on vacation anywhere with 100°F/35°C and +80% humidity it just doesn’t get to me. I can walk for hours in that heat without collapsing. My only problem is that I love sleeping cold, like 40°F/10°C cold bedroom.
I mean where I’m from we do tend to just stay home for the 18 hours of snow on the ground we get a year, because it’s way cheaper than keeping snow plows from rusting 364.3 days out of the year.
I’m not saying it doesn’t make sense monetarily, I’m saying it leads to an altered perception by people who don’t think too hard about it in regards to how other regions live during winter
I’ve also seen at least one European refer to most of North America and our summer temperatures “uninhabitable.”
Honestly, looking at our forecast predicting a 104 degree week ahead (and this year has been mild so far, lol), I’d agree
Absolutely deranged
Come on down to the Carolinas, you’ll get sick of back sweat rolling down your legs inside a week.
That’s my mood no later than May 1st.
fall is, and forever will be, the best season.
Fall = time to shift into soup mode. So I agree, it’s the best.
Pumpkin spice season
i would love to be in that camp, fall is great, it’s just too depressing that winter is coming soon.
few more summers like this one and i’ll start getting depressed on Spring, because of looming Summer.
it’s just too depressing that winter is coming soon.
you gotta live in the moment brother. maybe practicing some stoicism would help alleviate thinking and worrying about the future. it helped for me! 🙂
Nah this is a job for zen. Spring is beautiful because it is spring. Summer is summer, don’t live in desire for a different season but embrace it for what it is and only leave the house when the sun is down
Mid to late Fall. The start of Fall is just a tease. You know there will be at least one more week of summer weather sneaking back in.
Yeah, where we are you can’t really start looking forward to the weather until at least mid-October
I live in a high-mountain desert. Everything is dead and brown in the fall, there’s few pretty deciduous trees shedding leaves, and the cold spikes can bizarrely get colder than most of the upcoming winter will be, just without the snow so you can’t even have some fun.
I much prefer spring. It’s the one time of the year I see any green.
weather too shitty for doing anything outdoors, boating season over, skiing season not yet here. No thanks.
Jokes on me, august is the hottest month here in Texas.

Idk where you are in Texas, but it’s been pretty mild here in South-Central. Humid af though due to all the unusual rain, but it’s been keeping the actual temp below 100 for most of it.
Dallas here. Rain in July is odd, not as odd as highs in the 80s. We’re back to the 100s tomorrow. That seems more normal.
So the opposite. Super desperate for her not to leave me alone in the cold and dark.
my typically cold province has been prone to 40°c thanks to climate change.
Summer can get fucked.
but the sun. the sun… I can’t wake up in darkness. im like the walking dead.
Why is everyone hating on summer? Im so happy now, when I think that in a couple of months days are gonna be 6 hours long and everything will be gray, damp and cold I want to stop time.
Two days ago it was 100° and 100% humidity. Get the me the fuck outta here.
summer’s my least favorite because i hate heat, humidity, bugs, and tourists.
I can always put on warmer clothes if the weather is cold. Summer on the other hand, I can only take off so much without scaring children and getting arrested.
As for shorter days, the night time is the right time.If only +10kg of clothes could bring out the sun, stop endless winds, make icy roads safe for walking (let alone running), and make the person wearing extra clothes really comfortable.
I get a feeling most people here just stay at home a lot and the heat makes that more unbearable. That’s why I love summer, as soon as I can I just get the hell out of the house.
The sun is my mortal enemy, I stay out of it and it doesn’t kill me. Winter is far superior.
In six months I’m gonna be so happy that the days are 6 hours long and everything will be gray, damp, and cool. Summers last like 6 months here and August is the hottest month. Will be wonderful to go outside without the sun trying to murder me.
The cold kills much quicker than the sun.
Yes, true. But at least I don’t have to slather chemicals onto my skin to avoid the nuclear hellfire in the sky giving me cancer. I know cold ain’t exactly like happy fun times. But I prefer it over heat absolutely.
Yeah, but you have to supplement vitamin D, so there go your chemicals but into the mouth.
I can’t say I’ve ever had to take vitamins for winter? The cancer orb in the sky can fuck right off.
Honestly, I see that as a win
Being hot makes me want to die.
That’s basically it. 🤷♀️
I crave the rain and overcast days
The heat is miserable.
Spring is where it’s at tho, for warm weather.
Because its really hot and humid here and summer either have frequent thunderstorms and flooding or droughts while winter storms tend to be much more mild. Winter is like 65-80F here during the day.
Seasonally affected gang. Cold bones gang.
Some see how happy people around them and feel worse
i feel like all the “i want summer” people are worse about this during winter than the “i want winter back” people are during summer.
That’s why we “enjoy all seasons” people are superior
Nah, I hate summer because I despise the heat and humidity and it makes me very irritable and tired.
You might not be part of the “some” I mentioned
I forgot other places have seasons. It’s been summer for almost 3 months here
I ran across so many people today who had Very Optimistic opinions of how effective the single swipe of deodorant they put on that morning was. After about half an hour into my day I pulled out my smelly muscle rub stuff and put a dab under my nose.
Summer is awesome here in Chicago. I’ll take more of it thanks.
I didn’t get a sunburn this year.
I do wonder how close to heat stroke I got at some points.
You can’t seriously think summer is in August. Let me break it to you: summer is in January, it is winter now. Know your damned seasons
Heat index over 100 freedom units and I’m still sad summer is winding down.
Edit: Not like it matters but why downvote a comment that says I like hot weather? LOL
As awful as it’s been, last year was worse where I’m at. Last year we had 45 consecutive 100° days in a row. And that followed a 18-day 100° streak with a chilly 99° day in between the 2 streaks.
