Genuinely curious why some people just can’t stand to wait that extra second. I have a roommate who will microwave anything. Stand there stare at it until it reaches roughly 10 seconds left. Starts to cautiously push the button in before fully depressing it at 1 second, takes his food and leaves it at 1 second.

Edit: Man, what kind of microwaves do you guys have where it’s setting off an atomic bomb like beeps that don’t stop.

Edit 2: I have a feeling this thread is going to have many of us(me included)Google our model of microwave to see if it has a beep on/off option

Edit 3: it is clear that noone likes “The Beep” google your model. Turn it off if you can.
