Or they decamped during the pandemic, and migrated to one of the towns around Castlemaine or Belgrave. There’s also a steady cross-border migration to Newtown and Marrickville in Sydney.

Altona, maybe. Castlemaine has been known as North Northcote for a while now, I wonder what other towns are gaining that reputation.
