During the pandemic, a third of people in the UK reported that their trust in science had increased, we recently discovered. But 7% said that it had decreased. Why is there such variety of responses?
I don’t trust #science as a system anymore, because I’ve studied and seen how bad the processes are at universities and how bad “scientists” are at writing papers and making arguments, including the choice publisher.
Individual people can still be correct and papers can still be true. But “a study has shown” or “Prof. PhD says” are absolutely worthless by themselves.
@throws_lemy interesting.
