I understand that. Understand and kinda agree. But the problem is people dont care about privacy policies and went ever to the easy ways. Other than that, people dont want learn more about fediverse, nostr or other things, because isnt easy for an average joe. That needs time and mostly people of world dont have time to learn (or dont want too) and continue do/visit same things over and over again…
Tho, I believe the young boys and girls of the present, probably in the future can learn and do/uses new plataforms more easily. However, that needs time to grow
But that’s what the author is saying. Make the existing tools easy and polished so that average users who don’t care can/will use them. Right now, their only options are the corporate platforms because there’s no simple way for them to have their own website or social web presence. If signing up for a CMS with a custom domain were as easy as signing up for Instagram/tiktok/etc, maybe more ppl would do it.
