i am inclined to say yes, people who eat xmas trees are probably awesome(ly stomach enhanced).
You can actually eat spruce tips. I like the flavor but it is a bit of an acquired taste.

I could have watched quite some amount of footage of the elephants eating the trees, without commentary.
I sure hope they won’t eat mine… It’s made of plastic.
