They also overwhelmingly have been demanding an end to the embargo on Cuba for decades, but nothing ever comes of it.
I’m not much of a geopolitical expert, but as far as I can tell, the UN really only serves to prevent the 5 countries in the security council from going to nuclear war with each other. The rest is a side effect.
The fact that those 5 countries are nuclear powers should be deterrent enough.
500,000+ killed in Syria – silence.
377,000+ killed in Yemen – silence.
5,400,000+ killed in Congo – silence.
236,000+ killed in Afghanistan – silence.
500,000+ killed in Sudan – silence.
300,000+ killed in Iraq – silence
17,000+ killed in Gaza – non-binding UN resolution for cease-fire.
Wrong on every single count other than the last one.
Google is your friend.
The Silence of the Jihad Jane’s was deafening for every single one but the last one. A UN resolution was not a big deal and generally ignored for every single one but the tast one. WHY IS THAT?
Interestingly the resolutions were unanimous.
If only you didn’t have an agenda.
No, in fact they weren’t. There were 26 countries that abstained
So I don’t wanna engage with this… creature personally, but because I see a lot of this, the disparaty makes a lot of sense:
Only one of these is the continuation of a 70-years old crime against humanity happening with explicit support from the West.
Also completely wrong because there have been UN resolutions for every one of those.
