I love anchor steam. I can’t decide if its actually good, or if it’s just nostalgia. The beer kinda tastes bad, but like, charmingly bad? Like sucking on pennies.

This is terrible! I don’t know anyone who likes beer who doesn’t like Anchor Steam. I’m honestly shocked that none of the big boys have stepped up to buy the brand. Though, I guess maybe they’re waiting for bargain basement prices in liquidation. Gutted.

An 80 year headstart on your competition really shouldn’t end this way.

Very sad. Anchor Steam is one of my favorite beers.

I was talking to my father about Anchor Steam recently since they had recently announced that they were reducing their beer output to just California.

This isn’t really a surprise to us. The quality of the beer went down over the last few years and the availability has been terrible. I really wish they could have just found a solution to their problems instead of shutting down but it really hasn’t been the same ever since they moved their brewing location.

Oh, damn! I love Anchor Steam! This is indeed a sad day.
