Fun Fact: The more advertisers that pull out because they appear next to nazi shit increases the likelihood the remaining advertisers will appear next to nazi shit.

So, IBM walks into a Nazi bar, and after six drinks, slurrs to the bartender, “What’s with all the swastikas?”

Is it though? No one currently working at IBM was there in WWII. It’s pretty meaningless to point fingers at a corporations history when it’s so dated

That’s like judging current Germany based on WWII. Different times, different people

Maybe this guy is old enough to remember it? Not likely. I drive an ID.4 and the other day some dude drove by me with the Nazi salute. Some people don’t understand context.

My grandfather told me he saw German tanks with a Ford logo on the western front.

          He drove a Cadillac.

Yep. Shame on any company or individual that’s still active on Twitter. It’s a nazi platform now and there’s no excuse to still be there. Mastodon exists, so if you’re still on Twitter you are part of the problem.

And it’s sad how much pushback this conversation gets. When you try to tell people that remaining there is giving explicit support for the Nazi platform it’s become, there’s always some sort of excuse.

Pro-Nazi content. In other words, Elon’s own posts.

“When it comes to this platform - X has also been extremely clear about our efforts to combat antisemitism and discrimination. There’s no place for it anywhere in the world - it’s ugly and wrong. Full stop,” said Yaccarino.

      Hahahahahaaaaahaaaha. Ha.

IBM sold machines to the original Nazis, so I guess this time around they at least want to keep up the appearance of giving a shit where their money comes from

Ironically unironic. An accurate, if uncomfortable reminder of their history.

Companies are so full of shit when they pull ads like this. They wouldn’t use Google ad program if they were worried about their ads being on bad content.

Nov 16 (Reuters) - IBM (IBM.N) on Thursday said it had immediately suspended all advertising on Elon Musk-owned X after a report found its ads were placed next to content promoting Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party.

The report comes a day after Musk endorsed an antisemitic post on X that falsely claimed members of the Jewish community were stoking hatred against white people.

Musk’s Wednesday comments on the social media platform are not the first time he has engaged in discussions that reference antisemitic tropes or conspiracy theories.

On Wednesday, after being questioned by another user about targeting all Jewish people, Musk attacked the Anti-Defamation League, a nonprofit that works to fight antisemitism, who he has accused previously without evidence of being responsible for the drop in advertising on X.

Advertisers have fled the site since Musk bought it and reduced content moderation that has resulted in a dramatic increase in hate speech on X, civil rights groups have said.

Musk is also CEO of electric carmaker Tesla (TSLA.O), which has been hit by several lawsuits that allege rampant racial or sexual harassment of workers.
