Another one by my daughter. She rough drafted on paper and used a slideshow to test whether the animation worked for her, then redrew in clipstudio.

@Gabe, do you picture animation fitting in this community? Or maybe a separate animation/video community? Or keep the instance focused on static art?

This is great! Love that she started with a traditional method as the test first. I’ve been wanting to try animation using Procreate but I haven’t quite wrapped my head around it yet.

Thanks, I’m continually amazed by what she creates. When she started with clipstudio pro, I helped her figure out the features and was really impressed by what it offers for animation.

Ugh yeah they only work in comments, that’s annoying.

And if there’s demand for an animation community i’d be down with it, this instance is focused on art generally and animation 100% falls in as an art form. I am attempting to fix it so images that are uploaded aren’t automatically converted into webm videos though so we will see

This is really good work! That being said, cats “directly register” when they walk, which means their back feet step directly where their front feet were. The gait looks a little unnaturally short since the animation isn’t directly registering like a real cat would.

Good tip! I’ll pass it along. It also feels like it’s missing a frame.
